Skin Care for Genital Area?
What are some ways to keep the skin of the genitals healthy? I wash everyday and yet that area just doesn't seem to become as healthy as other parts of the body. My skin is easily irritated and sometimes my pores become clogged and a pimple will show up every now and then. It's quite embar ing. Are there some medications or natural treatments that can make the skin from that part of the body look better? I've been to the doctor and as far as they could tell I'm STD free yet I do have sebaceous prominence. Thank you. No it's not a rash exactly. It's more like the skin just isn't quite right? It's off color and looks not as clean as other areas? I'm not sure if I can describe it well. Yes I have pimples on other parts of my body especially my chest neck and face but they do appear on other parts of my body at random sometimes- If you have a rash, go to Walmart and pick up a tube of Cortisone cream and a tube of Anti - fungal cream. Mix about one inch, or more, of each, together and coat the irritated areas. It will stop a rash quickly. The Equate brand is cheaper and does as well. Do you have pimples on the rest of your body or is it just in the genital area? IF it is just in the genital area, I would perhaps check with another doctor. Good luck. Pops
- After I bathe, I use baby powder there, very time I pee, I use a wipe for that area and make sure I wipe the dampness off and use baby powder again, every time. For me it works. I think Johnsons is the best, the cheap stuff didn't work as well
- Hot soapy water, take a bath and soak, not shower, or use a swimming pool, the area has a high concentration of blood flow and higher temperature to keep the sperm healthy, so naturally it sweats more, that causes more oil and opportunity for skin problems, plus people wash their hands after handling that part of the body, not before, so naturally it gets dirty. And then there is the issue of contact with other people who may not be clean first either. If you sit a lot, whatever dirt or food that goes in your lap works through into your pants, so daily bathing, change of shorts and wearing clean pants is important. Don't sleep with more blankets than you need to keep warm, if you get soaked with sweat in bed you are too warm
- Genny skin is like any other skin. I'm uming that because of your public hair the natural oils could be too much and make you a bit pimply. When you get a pimple, just wash, and dab some Clearasil on it like any other pimple. If your skin is irritated, I suggest Johnson's baby lotion. It works wonders and never ever leaves the skin feeling greasy. I break out easily, but I've never gotten a pimple from baby lotion. Warts are for STDs, not pimples, as far as I know. You really should never pop a pimple, always clean it gently in circles, to loosten the bacteria if 'its ready', then clean again to wash away the excess, then a dab of Clearasil
